Salary / Stipend

Pay Matrix Level 2 to Level 8, roughly Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month, plus a 20% Special Security Allowance on basic pay.

Allowances

Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, transport allowance and other benefits follow central government rules as revised from time to time, in addition to a 20% Special Security Allowance on basic pay.

Stenographer Skill Test

Stenographer Grade-I candidates take a computer-based test covering dictation at 100 words per minute over 10 minutes, followed by transcription within 40 minutes in English or 55 minutes in Hindi. Because this is a deputation, eligibility is limited to serving officers from central, state or UT governments.

How to Fill the Form

  1. Check eligibility and download the bio-data form (Annexure-II) from NIA's recruitment notice page.
  2. Complete the form and get it countersigned and stamped by the competent authority or cadre controlling authority.
  3. Attach attested APAR copies for 2021-22 to 2025-26, attested by an officer of Under Secretary rank or higher.
  4. Include the vigilance clearance, integrity certificate, and details of any penalties from the last 10 years.
  5. Send the nomination through proper channel to DIG (Admin), NIA Hqrs, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003 by 25 November 2026.
