Tenure and Service Terms

Selected candidates serve a four-year tenure, which can be extended or shortened as administrative needs require. The posts are ex-cadre, and promotion remains possible only within the parent cadre. A three-year cooling-off gap applies between RDSO tenures.

Additional Eligibility Points

Candidates need at least five years of residual service and medical category B-1. APAR totals for the last three years must reach a minimum threshold, with the latest year rated at least Good. Anyone penalised after a vigilance case in an earlier RDSO tenure is barred.

Mode of Selection

  1. Screening committee review of APARs for last 3 years (max 15 marks)
  2. Review of educational and professional qualifications (max 5 marks)
  3. Preparation of panel and merit list against vacancies

How to Fill the Form

  1. Send application through proper channel to the Director General, RDSO, Manak Nagar, Lucknow-226011.
  2. Submit by email to the address in the notification or by post, reaching on or before 09 Nov 2026.
  3. Enclose attested Service Book copies, APARs for 2022-23 to 2024-25, and D&AR and SPE/Vigilance clearance status.
