Exam Format and Language

Goods Train Manager candidates sit a 100-question, 100-mark CBT lasting 90 minutes, while Junior Engineer candidates face 150 questions over 120 minutes. Each wrong answer costs one-third of that question’s marks. English is the default paper language, with Hindi, Urdu and regional options also available.

Eligibility Limits and Documents

Only regular serving employees of South Western Railway and RWF/YNK may apply. Staff in RPF/RPSF and the Assistant Commissioner and Accounts cadre are excluded. Keep ready a matriculation or equivalent certificate showing date of birth, a PDF of your degree or passing certificate, and a scanned photograph and signature.
