Salary / Stipend

E-II Grade basic Rs. 40,000-3%-1,40,000; approx CTC Rs. 13 lakh plus DA, HRA, conveyance, performance pay and medical reimbursement as admissible.

Exam and Shortlisting

The computer-based test has 125 questions over 120 minutes, split into 100 technical questions and 25 aptitude and reasoning questions, in English and Hindi. Each wrong answer costs a quarter mark. Candidates are shortlisted for interviews at a 1:5 ratio by discipline and category, and must reach at least 35% (30% for SC/ST/PwBD) in each stage separately.

Service Bond and Submission Tips

Selected candidates sign a two-year service agreement after six months of orientation or on-the-job training. Leaving early requires paying Rs. 2,00,000. Verify every detail before submitting, since changes are not allowed afterward, and no hard copy needs to be sent to BEL.
